Oooh I love that’s what you see

me, too!!! I see Amanda Gorman but I also see every woman who has turned and faced what needs to be done and then does it. It's the face of everyone who ever had to just do the thing because no one was coming to save us and the thing needs to be done. I love it so much!

Ordering through your local independent bookstore would be a great option, too. They really need everyone’s support.

I think there should have been the lady with weapons riding a narwhal. With eagles circling overhead. And cannons firing from a schooner. With fireworks. And whales.

I GUESS I will order it, even if there’s a real lack of women flying eagles on the cover…👸🏻🦅 (but seriously, CONGRATULATIONS! So excited to receive my copies soon!)

Last week, the branch manager at my library and I were having a conversation about upcoming bookclub reads and I told her about your book. She wrote it down to make sure she ordered it! I have already preordered two (one from Amazon, one from Bookshop.org) and planned on dropping one off to them anyway. I cannot wait to read it!

Thank you for being so transparent even with the putting together of your book’s name and now cover.

The best is the beautiful description of the end results. Can’t wait now to see what’s inside!

As a designer, thank god we have really thick skin, lmao.

Just ordered a signed copy for my wife yesterday. I am looking forward to reading it as well. We are very excited. Thank you for sharing so much goodness, Sharon!

Thank you for this incredible morning laugh, your commentary on these covers had me cracking up. The child picking his nose! The unhappy eagle being ridden like a dragon surrounded by weaponry! The “girls history for girls”!

I absolutely love the final cover, and I’ll now never unsee the fact that she is looking to the stars. Can’t wait to read this book.

OMG YAAAAS! She is looking to the stars!! 🌌🤩

Now I'm thinking of a children's book I love reading with my kiddo "Hello, Star" it gives me all the feels as does this cover. ❤️

One week! I can hardly believe it. So close!

I’m getting two copies, preorder and founding member. I was wondering who I could give the second copy to, and my son’s teacher is perfect! That’s such a great suggestion.

I like that she is looking up and to the LEFT and not the right. Our culture has labeled success with "up and to the right" and I appreciate this subtle (and very possibly unintentional) nod to a counter-cultural definition of what success is: being brave to be who God has created you to be, a "long obedience in the same direction." Looking forward to reading it Sharon! Thank you for YOUR "long obedience in the same direction!"

Some of those covers are absolutely crazy town. I feel bad because ... that was someone's artwork? Or do they have AI just create some spit-ball ideas and then an artist can hone in on what the author wants? I don't know, but ... wow.
