I’m so ready! I’ve been ready since you told the book club that you were writing a book. It seems like forever ago and yesterday. I know the next few months will be a whirlwind for you and I hope it’s one of the most amazing times of your life ❤️

You have a unique platform and have access individuals who have been there, done that, and written books that cover a vast spectrum of topics. How did you choose who was going to read an advanced copy when you have so many connections to people who would have loved that honor?

I’m SO excited to read your work of heart! This article brought to mind a quote that I would love to own on a t-shirt or come up with your own witty quote to remind us that little things we do, matter. “Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead.

The first time I was introduced to you, Sharon, was watching one of your Instagram videos on a friend’s acct that I had just connected with. My friend was actually one of my daughter’s college friends that I had stayed in touch with long after their college years. She’s a young, vibrant, outspoken young woman who loves dahlias like I do!😂

I’d enjoy looking at her posts of her flowers and her young family. I was fairly new to Instagram and when I clicked on this blonde babe putting on her makeup while talking about history I was enthralled…and I’ve been a fan of yours ever since!😂❤️

You have introduced me to so many interesting tidbits of history and have challenged my thought process and beliefs all while rolling your hair and putting on eyeshadow!😂

I now am enjoying your preamble.

So when deciding to preorder a hard cover or audible of your new book, my finger wavered back and forth between the two choices. At last I chose the audible as I love hearing your voice as you tell your wonderful stories. If I hadnt known you were the reader I never would have gotten the audible version. Alas, I’ll probably still order the hard copy to share with others.😁

All this to say, I wish you the very BEST success with your book and I look forward to “hearing” it soon. I’ll just miss seeing you do an absolute perfect foundation job while listening!😂

It’s so funny that now anytime I hear a bit of history I’m comparing it to how Sharon would sound. Nothing compares. We have received such a gift through podcasts, Instagram, Zoom and now The Preamble. Well done Sharon. We are hooked.

Sorry another question- how do you decide where your content goes? For example- what is substack content, podcast, social media, or book?

I love this question. Looking forward to Sharon's answer.

For those of us who have been on this ride with you from the backseat, this is very exciting. If I remember, you began SSS in mid 2020. How is it that by early 2021 you were being approached by publishers, etc? This is very unusual, isnt it? Can you remind us when you started SSS, the book group and of some of the other time/event markers that some of us have been here through and others may not have been around for? Thank you

I cannot wait to read this book! Your knowledge, insight, and humor in your corner of the internet has helped calm my nerves since 2020.

I want to know all the things! How did you find these stories? What was your writing process? Will Ludacris be at your book tour? 🤣❤️

IF ANYONE KNOWS LUDA PLEASE EMAIL ME 🤭

I feel like someone in the book club knows someone who knows Luda. Like Samara lives in LA, she knows someone who knows him or she knows someone who knows someone who knows him. I'm just saying, someone in book club knows everyone.

Congratulations. You work work very hard. I don't know how you get it all accomplished. I know you have help but you seem to go non stop. You deserve all good things and a wider audience. It is amazing how little people know about how their government, history and how different aspects of the economy work. You explain it all in an engaging and informative way. I know most of your followers ate women. In my opinion that is a tragedy. Men are just as misinformed and ignorant maybe even more so. You need a much bigger stage.

I’m so excited about your book and have many questions! :) What is your writing process? Do you always type or any handwritten pieces then to type? How did you identify the 12 unsung heroes? Thanks!

I’m so excited for your book. Through your instagram posts, deep dives and workshops we have been shown your unique ability to tell other’s stories. It shows up for me in places I never expected. I was listening to one of Percival Everett’s other books, The Trees, when I heard Leo Franks name. I immediately said, I know him! Because of the way you share history I get these little brain tingles often. And it’s wonderful. It keeps me in wonder of the world and all the people we share it with 💜

I so admire anyone who writes and publishes a book! I write a bi-weekly newspaper column, and just getting that done can be overwhelming. Looking forward to reading your book - as I look forward to your newsletters and instagram posts. I’ve recommended you to so many friends who are frustrated about politics. Thanks again for all you do and for being an inspiration for many.

I was the kid at the Schoolastic Book fair looking for, “ My America”, books. I have been a long time fan of unsung heroes, they gave me hope for a better future. My home life was horrible and stories like these saved me. I saved every quarter and dollar I could to be able to buy a book at the book fair. My life is much different now and I still love these kind of stories. I can’t wait to read your book of hope.

Following you for the last 4ish years has been life changing! Seriously!! How I look at government and politics, news, etc, has changed so much! The book club has caused me to consider books I would never have read before, and added to those changes that are life changing. Deep dives from that book club always leave me in awe of what has happened in our world that so few of us know. And podcasts!! The book arrives on the 24th and it’s a good thing I’m off work the 25th because I know I won’t be sleeping until I finish it!!

Sharon -- First, congratulations! I'll be preordering as soon as I finish my comments here. A couple of questions, if you'll indulge me? 1) How did you overcome your tendency to 'ramble'? And, 2) Why would you necessarily avoid using "however", etc. in your writing? Thanks!
