Yes, a public school teacher turned author. I don't believe this makes her an expert in every facet of American history and present day politics.

Agree Katie and you explained it very well.

In my opinion, some subscribers have a difficult time seeing her biases (which we all have) and they also put her up on a pedestal. I think Sharon is amazing and I enjoy reading her articles, but are just one person’s perspective of current events.

I engage with content from journalists across the political spectrum. If I'm being honest, I enjoy reading opinion pieces more than strictly fact-based reporting. With that said, commenters here seem to take personal offense if someone notices the author's bias. I also don't understand how questioning Sharon's reporting is innately negative. We should be questioning everyone's reporting.
