Musk started a super PAC a few months ago, called the America PAC. A super PAC is an independent group that can raise unlimited sums of money for parties or issues. They are not allowed to coordinate directly with candidates, but because the Supreme Court has determined that money=speech, there is no limit to how much they can spend.
In the few months since its inception, the America PAC has spent nearly $80 million campaigning for Trump and against Harris, according to OpenSecrets, a nonprofit that tracks campaign spending. Musk is focusing a lot of
