And thank you for showing once again how Trump voters can rarely, if ever, provide factual justifications for their positions or statements without falling back on the lazy but false trope of both-sides-ism and when that fails, leave the room in a huff.

I’m basing my comment on several exchanges from Kate. I have had many private exchanges with conservative voices that were on here but have left because they have been treated poorly and name called. Thoughts across these exchanges are all similar but not one is playing a victim. I’m sorry you can’t see the way the conservative commenters are treated on here but it is rough! Not by all, of course, but definitely by Kate.

Oh for Pete’s sake, you and Robyn and Shannon and Midlife Musings and whoever else don’t “feel safe” on here just need to grow up. This is not Breitbart or FoxNews or X or Facebook or TikTok. This is an intellectually and factually driven site for news, politics, history and good governance. You all have publicly supported people who are opposed to almost everything we have learned from this site. And in the rare instances you attempt to bolster your opinions and support with facts, these “facts” turn out to be not true and when this is pointed out you cry foul. Nobody disputes that diversity of opinion is important. But, as should be obvious by now, people that gravitate to SharonSaysSo want to know the whys, the facts, the justifications. And on a site like this, when such justifications don’t hold water, you should expect pushback. You should welcome it, if your purpose is truly to learn from Sharon and anyone else here. My so-called “rough” treatment of some commenters on here is nothing compared to the fear, damage, heartbreak and devastation that will be visited upon vulnerable groups in this country as a result of people you helped put into office. Own it.

By “rough” do you mean bullying? I am grateful that you don’t represent the majority here, Kate.

No, Amy, it is commonly referred to as fact checking.🙄

I also hope that I find a community which is a safe place for diversity of thought. Wishing you well too.

That is absolutely not true. What other substacks are you aware of that is a safe place for diversity of thought?

A safe place to exchange ideas that aren’t the mainstream, independent thoughts, support Trump, etc. A place where you can share an opinion and not be ridiculed (often like here) or fact checked for sharing a conservative point of view.

You said every space is safe for conservatives- what spaces have you seen? I would love to check them out.

I don’t understand what you are saying. Where is the victimhood? This does seem like some gaslighting going on though. Edit- or more like bullying. I can see why you and Kate agree.

Also- where are the safe spaces you keep referring to for conservative voices? I’ll wait.
