I cannot make the live today but I have a question. Did she watch the hearings? I only saw part of it, but was wondering what she thought of Rand Paul's comments. Like most Congressmen he wasn't asking questions so much as taking an opportunity to speak, but he seemed to be questioning some of vaccine mandates with actual studies. What does Ms. Rivera think about what he said?

Grateful you’re hosting this call. I can’t pause for it though, so I’m eager to see the rerun via video. Your input is always excellent and we’re all better for having been exposed to your knowledge.

Sharon, my husband and I were eager to see you at Restore Conference next week and are deeply saddened you won’t be able to participate.

There are only a handful of individuals we believe stand apart in integrity, knowledge and generosity to impart what we need to know in times like this. You’re def one of them.

Bless you.

With gratitude,

Bernice & Terry

I was told by a Maga supporter that we are not a democracy. They said that the constitution never uses the word democracy. instead we are a republic. I’m not sure I understand the difference, nor did I know how to respond to them.

I believe when Sharon has explained this before she has said that a republic is the type of democracy we are. The terms are not diametrically opposed.

I like asking people what they think a democracy is and then when they typically explain direct democracy I let them know about what a representative democracy is and how that’s what we use. If we don’t have democracy we have an authoritarian regime. We vote in free and fair elections and our votes are used to select the representatives we want in Washington, in our state capitals, and locally. Some states also use a lot of direct democracy (CA for example) in the form of propositions.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome & Autism: Apparently there may be a connection. RFK jr, being a trial lawyer, wants to put the blame on firms with deep pockets (the real point of the autism study). But it may be a matter of misdiagnosis of autism when the actual condition is fetal alcohol syndrome. It's understandable that a doctor would be reluctant to cite fetal alcohol syndrome as it puts the onus on the mother. This condition was recognized in the US and Europe in 1973. Ingesting alcohol as early as the first 3 weeks of pregnancy (before a woman knows she's pregnant) can have an impact on the fetus. A new book, Princess Margaret and the Curse (by Meryle Secrest), posits that Margaret's behavioral and physical problems stemmed from her mother's drinking. When pregnant with Elizabeth, however, the Queen Mother went 'off' wine.
