Today I will be answering your questions today live with infectious disease epidemiologist
.So many of you have been asking me about what’s going on at the CDC. The former CDC Director (who was ousted by Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. weeks ago) testified on Capitol Hill Thursday, saying she was pressured to change the childhood vaccine schedule and that Kennedy wanted to fire anyone who didn’t go along with his plans.
Just hours after that testimony, an advisory panel voted to change the recommendations for the MMRV vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella and varicella) for children under the age of four. A separate vote is expected today on the hepatitis B vaccine.
What does it mean for access to these vaccines? Will insurance still cover them? Can you trust the decisions being made right now at the CDC?
Jessica and I will discuss that, plus a new report on autism, and Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again plan.
