Well. That was interesting. The economy is not great ,but it is not necessarily bad either ,so, we just keep on slogging along with the Trump era and hope for the best , so, let's just stay positive , folks and keep on "keepin" on.
A Venezuelan colleague of mine said fellow Venezuelans are speculating that the invasion was driven in part by its rare earth minerals. Can you comment on that possibility?
This was incredibly helpful and informative, answering many questions I’ve had about the state of the current economy. Also rly appreciated the breakdown of how different immigration statuses impact the economy. That cut through a lot of noise I’ve been hearing.
According to my son-in-law, who works in the oil industry, most of the oil refineries in the US were built 25-30 years ago, and they were built to process heavy oil. We import heavy oil, and export light oil. Is he wrong?
Such an interesting conversation!

This is the first I've heard of the rare earth thing. Good question.
Fantastic conversation, thank you both!
Thank you for this discussion! It was very helpful in understanding the economy.
Thank you. Very helpful and clear for a non-economist like me
If only all Americans had better access to facts like these...
I learned so much!

This was very good! Thank you for answering questions I didn’t know I had! Questions I would not have thought to ask an economist. Great episode!
