The stars on the chests of the targeted are no longer cloth, they're digital, but they're real nonetheless. These people are hatemongers of the worst kind and must be stopped by voting their GOP sycophants out of office this year and in 2028. We must support our candidates and get them into office to retake our democratic republic and secure our Democracy for the sake of our progeny and others of our diverse community made up of all races, colors and creeds, to support them through promises outlined in the documents of our Founding Fathers, namely, The Constitution of the USA and the Bill of Rights.

This is why I am absolutely unperturbed by protestors interrupting church services over the weekend. ICE leadership and church leadership are not compatible and the folks allowing it need to be made uncomfortable.
Are the networks required to run these ads? I realize they are paid ads, but could they decline? Does the Masterpiece Cakeshop ruling apply? Or does the FCC have differing rules?
The Trump regime is recruiting people under the pretense of being patriotic to join ICE and while under this charade , the Christian Nationalist plot to eventually overthrow our democratic republic through the workings of an insurrection currently in play is being implemented as we speak.
To me, the only means of stopping this debacle is through the vote this year and in 2028 to end the Trump ( White Supremacist ) onslaught and start the process of sending the Perps to jail in 2029 for a 10 year stay in Hotel Fed.
ICE has been co-opted by Trump to be his personal gestapo and execute his nationalist agenda. Neither Noem nor Miller are elected officials. They serve at the pleasure of the president. Unless you remove him, this problem will persist.
In high school I had an incredible US history teacher who offered an elective course on Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. That class has stuck with me ever since as a warning against authoritarianism and hatred. It makes me wonder how some of my peers have forgotten the lessons that were so clearly presented to us.
Another great article Elise. My children have several friends whose parents are immigrants who are now citizens and fear their citizenship does not matter. One friend, her parents and older brother carry their ID’s and proof of citizenship with them. This same young lady shared how she’s worried her parents will be taken and she is not sure how she will care for her younger siblings. It’s maddening, frightening,and saddening. I hate this era!
