It’s Melanie from The Preamble. I wanted to give you a little preview of what’s to come over the next two weeks. First, we’ll be tackling all things health care — from using cutting-edge technology to fight diseases, to why drug prices are so much higher in the US than overseas. And the following week, we’ll be digging into stories on food and farming. Thanks to all of you who voted to help us pick these topics!
We like to work ahead over here, so we’re ready to vote again! Here’s an overview of the options:
Elections and political parties: This issue would cover questions like: Is conservatism dead? How have the two political parties shifted over time? How did Democrats come to hold the views they do?
The history and politics of national parks: This issue will look at topics like the selling of federal lands, the animals that live on them, and the history of how our national parks came to be.
Finding hope: How can you stay positive during turbulent times? We’ll share good news stories and practical advice on how to lean into optimism, when you feel anything but.
