I am all in for a nationwide consumer shutdown! Please keep us informed on any updates on that.

I live in a Democrat state. I feel like telling my senators and reps is like preaching to the choir!

What MORE can I do, since Republican legislators from other states won’t listen to me? Call the White House?

Call and thank them. Encourage them to stand strong.

I live in a Republican State and we have been calling every day. I sent the 5 calls app to my friends that live out of state and asked them to call their Senators and tell them to vote against Funding ICE. We also need the Democrats to hold strong and not give in to any bill that gives any additional funding to ICE. Some of the Democrats in the House caved and we can't let that happen in the Senate so your calls will matter.

I live in a very purple swing state, and I am extremely grateful for my democratic senators and representative. But I called anyway - from my family trip in Disneyland - using Sharon’s script. They need to know where their constituents stand! (I also thank them often for the great work they are doing in support of our democracy.) ❤️🤍💙

I called my senators today and left voicemails using this script. As I hung up, my 14 year old daughter popped into the room to give me a fist bump. She overheard me and was so impressed! I am proud to show her that I'm doing all I can to make a difference.

I also live in a democrat state. I called and thanked them for voting against funding ice and asked them to call for the firing of Steve Miller. I think they can use our encouragement

Ruben Gallago is correct that Miller needs to be held accountable and fired.

Getting ready to call again. I saw that the Meg Basham crowd was sharing Sharon's link and laughing about how they were going to call and ask for support for ICE. Good for them that they get to exercise that right. I wouldn't stand in their way. I know so many more have been mobilized to speak against funding ICE abuse.

I called my two Red senators for all the good it will do! TN is a Red state. I have called throughout this past year. They are non-responsive.

@karen I know it's disappointing to have reps that blatantly dismiss us and lie to us. I know that nothing I say will move Blackburn, Haggerty, or Burchett (since I'm neither a lobbyist or MAGA leader) but when I call, I call because it's my right to let them know how I want them to vote AND I hope that my call is a refreshing reprieve for the intern/office assistant taking the call or listening to the voice mails since I'm not a raging conspiracy theorist and I'm not yelling at them.

Thanks, but I do sometimes let my anger spill out on the message I leave. My rational self knows this does not help.

In the last 24 hours I saw a video of Alex taken about 11 days before he was killed. In it, it looked like he spit on an ICE agent and kicked and broke a taillight from the vehicle they were driving before walking away. That’s all I saw. I didn’t see what happened before or after. Do you think this will affect their plans?

I doubt it - because no matter who is protesting they don't deserve to be killed for the actions seen in that video. And officers should be better trained than the way current ICE agents are being trained. I want this to be true no matter who is protesting and what they're protesting. Even if I disagree with them.

I made a call to my Republican Senator expressing my concerns about ICE and the fact that I am a former Minnesotan and was very concerned how ICE was acting there. I saw today my Republican Senator stepped back, at least some, on camera. It's a start and it's easy to do.

Also - do letters to the editor. If you can’t get TO the senators and representatives, then go around them to the media, to socials, check in with your local county party or organizations and become a doer. We hit them through our wallets, we hit them by sharing our voice. We have to be the ones leading the charge because those in power certainly are not.
