Want to know what The Preamble team talks about on Slack? Most of it would bore you, because we’re saying things like, “Please triple check to see if the B in H1-B visa is capitalized or not.” But we actually do share our favorite products with each other, so we thought, why not share them with y’all, too?
Here’s what we actually use — and love.
Sharon loves this spray, using it twice a day to prevent breakouts and soothe irritation. It’s made from hypochlorous acid (no, it doesn’t sting!), which your body makes naturally during wound healing. This is the exact same formula as brands sold in beauty stores, but you get nearly twice as much product for half the price here.
The weather is starting to get cold, and that means chapped lips, dry eyes, and flaky skin. Most humidifiers are impossible to clean and tricky to fill, but Carepod has been a game changer for Sharon – she has one on each floor of her house. Add this to the “expensive but worth it” category.
Why we love them: Dani loves that their products are free of the toxins in some other nail products, and that they make salon quality manicures accessible for people like us who normally lack hand-eye coordination (and time) to do a decent looking job.
Why we love it: Chocolate? Red gatorade? On a white shirt? This stuff actually gets it out, and it’s bleach-, dye-, phosphate-, and sulfate-free. (And Melanie has multiple children in sports!)
Why we love it: This brush gently gets out the tangles without pulling all of the hair. It’s flexible and easy on the scalp. This was an impulse buy, and now Melanie can’t live without it.
Why we love it: Rebecca is obsessed with this 12-ft leash for her pup Max! She uses it for big hikes or to let him have some freedom outside if he can’t be off-leash. It’s got a hitch so you can quickly reel them in if someone is coming, straps around your waist (or a tree or a post or whatever), so you’re hands-free!
Why we love it: We’re animal lovers over here at The Preamble, and while we talk a lot about dogs, we wanted to share something for all the cats in your life. Our cats go absolutely bonkers over this toy!
Why we love it: You can choose from SO MANY different styles of covers —different patterns, with or without pockets, zip-around, etc. When you order one, it comes with a 3-color pen, and the paper they use is top notch!
Why we love them: When you just need a five-minute mind break during your work day, these daily coloring sheets do the trick! They even come with markers.
Top Baby Items
Why we love it: Craig has a newborn at home, and getting as much sleep as possible is all he thinks about. He swears by this sound machine!
Emilie has a six-month-old cutie and can’t live without this baby nasal aspirator.
And finally…

For those who celebrate, I would love to hear your 2026 planner lineup. For Hobonichi, I will be using the A5 cousin with the Moomin cover and a repurposed old Weeks Mega. I’m also using a couple of Sterling Ink A5 common planners. For writing down the feelings, I am a Midori Codex user. My main pens are the Pilot Vanishing Point and Sailor Pro-Gear. As someone who needs to write to think/plan/problem solve/understand where I am in time and space, it is exciting to Hobonichi in the governerd space.
