There’s so much to talk about. Here’s what I’m covering:
Trump’s federal takeover of DC. Is it legal? Are his reasons for doing it legit? What’s the historic precedent for this? I lived in the DC area for several years, and have a lot of thoughts about what’s happening.
Records have been released from the Uvalde school shooting. This story is so heartbreaking. The new records include audio of parents outside begging police to go into the school, knowing their children are inside. It would be another hour before officers breached the classroom where the shooter was hiding, killing him.
Will the Supreme Court revisit its gay marriage ruling? I will walk you through the case being brought by Kim Davis (who denied a gay couple a marriage license in 2015 on the basis that it was against her religious beliefs for gay people to marry).

I won't be able to make the live and look forward to the recording.
Regarding the DC story, could you include your thoughts on DC Police Union Chairman Gregg Pemberton's remarks this week that he welcomes federal assistance but that it's only temporary (I know, I know...is it?), his criticism of the DC City Council, and his concerns that crime data isn't accurate? Links for anyone interested (he's been on air a lot this week if you search for him):

I also lived in DC (until 2001 and loved it), my mom lived in the metro DC area until 2022, and my daughter recently completed her Congressional summer internship in DC. When we arranged housing for her, we heard overwhelmingly from local residents about the crime. While she was there, a Congressional intern was shot and killed in cross fire from a drive-by shooting near where our daughter was living. That's anecdotal, not statistics, of course.
will this be recorded? I don't want to miss it and I'm babysitting my grandchildren today
