Al Bell - I understand. It saddens me that at 71 it's unlikely I'll live to see our country fully recovered from this. The work will fall to my sons and grandchildren who will hopefully see and live in a renewed and transformed US.
I feel like I have heard this dialogue between Sharon and Adam a few days ago , but ,if not , then it was same song second verse. To me, the bottom line is to vote the bums out starting this year and in 2028, as they are a horrible bunch of people who are so twisted in their thinking that any sane Republican would find cause to quietly neuter them and put them out to pasture post haste.
The past 75 years or so since FDR to Biden was relatively progressive and about building something in our country that was essentially good for the rest of the world with it's prospect of a hopeful existence worldwide ala UN outlines. Could it have been better? Yes , for sure but it was meant to be implemented and improved year after year. There was much hope in it as it was a grand idea with much promise, but never taken seriously because it shared wealth with everyone and the greedy oligarchs of the world just couldn't accept anything like that and , so we now have Trump and his money loving hate mongers right now instead.
What the Christian Nationalists are offering in this administration is the prospect of a theocracy where all people that are not white become subservient to white power or be removed from our country for good. It's backwards and completely insane and so far from being what Christ advocated in the New Testament account of his life on earth over 2000 years ago because there is nothing in their ideology of loving their neighbor but rather replacing the Social Gospel with Old Testament legalism.
We must continue to steer the ship of state toward a more perfect union continually until we get it right . It's a life long process that we must not abandon and we can all give our lives to accomplishing starting now and through the years to come.
I also despise how the occupant is always whining about being a victim. He is the last person on the planet to be a victim. He is the victimizer, not a victim
