Such a happy post. I loved reading every second of it. As a rescuer of puppies- yes you are a hero!! I’m trying baking sourdough bread - I have a ‘kitchen pet’ now as I have to feed my starter every day. Learning something new is invigorating!

I have been a seamstress since I was a kid, but did not quilt anything until I was in my 50s. It turns out quilting is engineering, it is very hard and mind bending, and I am so glad to have this deep appreciation for the quilts I see now!! Thank you for this encouragement to try tricky things!

I love this! I'm a piano teacher, and some of my favorite students have been adults with non-musical careers who just want to learn something new! They're so fun to teach!

Thank you for this wonderful encouragement! Didn’t experience a single finger-wagging ‘you should’ which often accompanies reading benefits of the Why of trying new things; instead felt an invitation to give it a go. And why not? I guess getting out of my head and into the world might have benefit. Thanks again!

I take tai chi classes. I am a complete dork but I love it and find it can calm my mind when nothing else does
