Trump's plan looks practical on paper. But it papers over irreconcilable positions. Netanyahu still rejects a Palestinian state and wants indefinite Israeli security control. Hamas won't disarm or release hostages without full Israeli withdrawal and a permanent ceasefire.
The strategy echoes America's failed legacy. The Taliban reemerged in Afghanistan. ISIS filled Iraq's power vacuum. Gaza's prospects are worse: destroyed infrastructure and no functioning institutions,
