The World's Worst Humanitarian Crisis Isn't in Gaza or Ukraine

The numbers should shock us into action. Sudan has over 150,000 dead and 13 million displaced. Sudan has declared famine, with people eating animal feed made from peanut shells. And somehow, we barely notice.
Here's the uncomfortable truth: Does Sudan's invisibility reflect the fact that its victims are Black Africans rather than Palestinians or Ukrainians? When 13 million people can be displaced without trending hashtags, when genocide unfolds without campus occupations, we've revealed something disturbing about whose suffering we consider worthy of attention."
While the wars in Gaza and Ukraine are dominating headlines and campus protests, there is an even more devastating war raging in Sudan that barely registers in our collective consciousness.
